I don’t think there’s another celebration in New York City more seeped in tradition or celebration than the West Village Halloween Parade. Participants go into character, many times with outfits they make themselves; this is the greatest assembly of characters I’ve seen anywhere. They walk along the Avenue of the Americas in contingents or solo; everyone is welcome.
